The information was taken from a study of The Cost of Living Around the World 2018, Numbeo index. Ukraine was in the top three among the cheapest countries in the world. 

The rating took into account many different factors, among which was the cost of renting and buying a home, a gym membership, utility bills, public transport, food, and food in inexpensive restaurants.
